The full moon shone on the intimate audience, who enjoyed the electrified experience of the Masai Tribe and other colourful models, presented by Mode Le de L'Afrique Boutique (Jane Nyoike) at the Thoi- Thoi Dance organized by Zerf productions at le Manior last Saturday, organized by Dr. Wilhelmina Fredericks. With the Money raised the organization bought a fridge to store the blood of the children affected and infected with HIV and AIDS at St. Joseph Hospital at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
Reverend Dr. Jan Dijkman, president of Zerf productions, opened the dance, by explaining why Zerf is doing the dance, to support the development of a diagnostic and training centre at St. Joseph Hospital in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The musical and modeling evening was a boisterous success: The board of directors also modeled at the event. The Captain Howard Kay introduced the Zerfchallenge2020 -2007 Team to scale Mount Kilimanjaro and Safari: Wendy Kunin. Joseph Temper, Amiable Hussiem and Tamara Day Wilhelmina Fredericks, Anna Ginter, on Safari and Jane Jordan will volunteer at St. Joseph hospital. from September 22nd to: October 6th 2007. Zerf introduced, a bicycle ride from Cairo to Cape Town for February 2009. Dr, Njuki Mureithi, announced the sponsorship of Kenyan Airlines to the Kilimanjaro participants. The team also received promotional sponsorship from the YMCA in (NDG)
The audience became so addicted to the fashion shows and the cause, that they found reasons to participate and help raise awareness and funds for the 20 million children with HIV and Aids in Africa. The DJ (Katie) herself volunteered in the Kibbutz in South Africa, five years ago and will return to cycle with the Team from Cairo to Cape Town.
The participants came, they saw , and they danced the night away with Manta Studious A good time was had by all.
